Laser Edge Direct-Drive Linear Stages
Aerotech offers a complete line of direct-drive linear motor stages designed for the automation of laser machining processes.
Each of these stages have an integral metal waycover that is impervious to the hot sparks and debris that are by-products of
- impregnated hard coat (Rockwell 62 hardness)
laser processes. Both the waycover and the tabletop are treated with a Teflon
®
that is scratch resistant and provides long-lasting durability. The stages are further protected by a tensioned side-seal system.
The side-seal system is in a vertical orientation that prevents the accumulation of debris, which is a common problem in
captive bellows or top-sealed systems. An optional air-purge is available that allows air to be forced into the body of the
stage creating a positive pressure that prevents fine particulates from migrating into the stage.
