Aerotech Linear Translation Stages
Aerotech offers a complete line of screw-driven stages to complement the Laser Edge direct-drive product line. All stages
have an integral metal waycover that is impervious to the hot sparks and debris that are a by-product of laser processes. Both
-impregnated hard coat (Rockwell 62 hardness) that is scratch resistant
the waycover and tabletop are treated with a Teflon
®
and provides long lasting durability. The stages are further protected by a tensioned side-seal system. The side-seal system is
in a vertical orientation that prevents the accumulation of debris, which is a common problem in captive bellows or top-
sealed systems. An optional air-purge is available that allows air to be forced into the body of the stage, creating a positive
pressure that prevents fine particulates from migrating into the stage.
ATS1000/1100 Series
ATS1000 has various optional configurations including no
cover, bellows cover, and hard cover with side seals
ATS1100 includes an integral brushless, slotless motor
that reduces overall length by approximately 30%
compared to the ATS1000
8 mm pitch screw gives a peak linear speed of 400 mm/s
Travels up to 600 mm (24 in) are available
Load-carrying capability of 70 kg (154 lb)
Suitable for vertical applications with optional holding brake
ATS2000 Series
Larger cross section than ATS1000/1100 provides
increased stiffness
Precision ground 0.2 in and 4 mm pitch screws with a
peak linear speed of 220 mm/s (9 in/s)
Optional sinusoidal and digital output linear encoders
Travels up to 300 mm
Load-carrying capability of 80 kg (176 lb)
