Flexible 5-Axis Gantry Cutting/Welding System for YAG Processing of Medical Devices
This system was used for both cutting and welding operations. Irrigation orifices are cut into a medical device using a
combination of linear and rotary axis motion. Laser welding using the same articulated axes is used in various steps of the
assembly process.

Worm-drive rotary tables provide high load-carrying

shipment
5 axis-contoured motion generated by third-party
CAD/CAM programs can be executed directly on the A3200
control system
