The UNIDEX 500 PCI adds more
speed, flexibility, and power to the UNIDEX 500 line. The U500 PCI
includes up to eight axes of motion control per card and features a 240
MIPS DSP with single instruction per clock cycle execution, 48 digital
I/O points, up to 5 MB on-board memory, 62.5 m s minimum servo update,
32 MHz input data rate, and high-speed Position Synchronized Output for
laser firing or data acquisition.
UNIDEX 500 series controllers have
an impressive list of motion control capabilities. The UNIDEX 500 is
built on the Motorola 56300 family of DSP controllers for fast servo
loop and unparalleled motion control functionality. Providing up to four
axes of synchronized servo control and four axes of stepper control, the
UNIDEX 500 supports the motion requirements of todays most demanding
machines.
In advanced automation, software
requirements vary greatly by the application and user preferences.
UNIDEX 500 controllers meet this challenge with a wide range of powerful
programming interfaces and tools. For upward migration, every UNIDEX 500
controller supports the same libraries, MMI software and diagnostics.
Multitasking makes control of multiple processes simple.
Aerotech designed the UNIDEX 500
with the needs of high-performance motion control users in mind.
Containing a large feature set that includes functionality for both
niche and general-purpose machines, the UNIDEX 500 makes its home in any
environment where performance and reliability are important.
Being "Dedicated to the
Science of Motion," Aerotech continuously builds upon the
already advanced features of the UNIDEX controller family to meet your
most demanding requirements. Whether it is the high accuracy
requirements of a wafer stepper, the contouring needs of laser
machining, or the high-speed coordinated motion and I/O of a
pick-and-place machine, a UNIDEX 500 series controller will handle the
needs of todays state-of-the-art applications.
To accommodate user preferences,
Aerotech manufactures a wide range of interconnection options for wiring
system components. When using Aerotech motors and amplifiers, readily
available standard cables and interconnect boards make plug-and-play a
reality.
Aerotech offers a wide range of
options to complement the UNIDEX 500 Series controllers. These include
Position Synchronized Output functionality, I/O, encoder multipliers,
packaged drive chassis, interconnect boards, handwheel, and joystick
options.
