Aerotech announces the
immediate availability of the BLMX series brushless linear servomotors.
BLMX linear motors feature a unique high-efficiency magnetic circuit
design that provides over 49% greater continuous output force in the
same physical envelope (152-mm high by 50.8-mm wide) than similar models
from other manufacturers. Performance can be further enhanced with
special magnet options that can be used to increase force or lower heat
dissipation.
Aerotechs BLMX series
linear motors feature a non-magnetic forcer that eliminates cogging and
magnetic attraction to allow extremely smooth motion and very tight
velocity and position control. BLMX linear motors are direct drive and
consist of only two non-contacting parts a moving forcer coil and a
"U-channel" rare earth magnet track. The forcer coil resides
inside the "U-channel" magnet track. This design eliminates
backlash, windup, wear and maintenance issues associated with ball
screws, belts, and rack and pinions.
The BLMX is available in
models that provide continuous force ratings from 1030 to 1186 newtons
(231 to 266 pounds), peak forces from 4120 to 4744 newtons (924 to 1064
pounds), and peak speeds to 6 meters per second (236 inches per second).
