Aerotechs
BLMUC series motors feature a high-efficiency magnetic circuit design. The
BLMUC provides 42% greater continuous force than competitive models, in a
compact package 20.8 mm wide with a total height (including forcer) of 52
mm. Performance can be further enhanced with special magnet options to
increase force or lower heat dissipation. A non-magnetic forcer eliminates
cogging and magnetic attraction to allow extremely smooth motion and very
tight velocity and position control.
The motors are direct drive
and consist of only two non-contacting parts a moving forcer coil and
a "U-channel" rare earth magnet track. The forcer coil resides
inside the "U-channel" magnet track. This design eliminates
backlash, windup, wear and maintenance issues associated with ball screws,
belts, and rack and pinions. Travel lengths are unlimited due to
Aerotechs unique "stackable" magnet track system with
symmetrical mounting-hole pattern.
Continuous force ratings
range from 25 to 74 newtons (5.6 to 16.7 pounds). Peak forces range from
147 to 297 newtons (33.0 to 66.8 pounds). The BLMUC is ideally suited for
small load applications with tight space constraints such as a pick head
on a pick-n-place machine. |
