PC-based CNC control is now available with Aerotechs U600MMI software
combined with the UNIDEX 600 PC-based motion controller. Traditional G-
and M-code programming are supported with familiar operation and control
functions. Custom G and M codes make it easy to adapt the system to
accommodate existing part programs.
The system supports standard CNC
functions, as well as advanced functions such as MFO (Manual Feedrate
Override), MSO (Manual Spindle feedrate Override), cutter compensation,
lookahead, retrace, cylindrical and polar coordinate transformations,
parts rotation, mirroring, normalcy, dry run, and machine lock.
Multitasking allows for "PLC" tasks and multiple machining
cells.
A built-in editor is included for
editing and loading programs. Subroutines and a high-level programming
language provide a powerful programming environment for more complex
machine control functions. Flexible variable and I/O naming make for
easy-to-read programs.
An advanced feature called
"Program Automation" makes it possible to automatically load
and execute custom functions. The advanced user can call user-defined
DLLs running under Win95/NT or launch Win95/NT EXE files from within
a CNC program.
Extensive diagnostics minimize
downtime. A built-in "Help" file provides explanations for all
commands and examples to illustrate programs and functions.
