The ATS6200 series motor-driven linear stages offer
precision-grade performance for a commercial-grade price. This
modular stage is ideal for pick-and-place machines, gantry axes,
shuttle stages, laser machining/welding, assembly machines, or
as a general purpose positioner. The high reliability, low cost,
and good performance in long travel lengths make the ATS6200 an
ideal choice for almost any positioning application.
Solid Design and Construction Features
The ATS6200 series stages incorporate the highest quality components
to provide high reliability and performance over a long lifetime.
Pre-loaded duplex angular contact bearings support the center
drive ball screw. The low friction ball screw minimizes axial
play and reduces wear to provide smooth, repeatable positioning
over millions of inches of travel. The table rides on four sealed
Linear Motion Guide (LMG) bearings on hardened square bearing
rails. The carriage is supported over its entire travel by the
LMG bearings, resulting in excellent straightness and flatness.
Optimized Drive-Screw Options
The ATS6200 offers two levels of screw accuracy to make the optimum
cost-versus-performance decision suitable for the application.
The standard “B” grade precision ball screw provides
an accuracy of ±2 µm/25 mm of travel. This screw
is available in a 5 mm per rev lead for standard applications
and a 25 mm lead to address high-speed applications. The highest
positioning accuracy is obtained with our “P” grade
ball screw which provides an accuracy of ±1µm/25
mm. It is available in a 5 mm lead.
Protection Features
An integral metal waycover is offered as an option on stages with
up to 1250 mm of travel for protection against sparks, hot metal
chips, and other contaminants. Accurate optical limit switches
and cushioned end stops protect the stage and motor from overrun.
Motor and Drives
Included with all ATS6200 series is an Aerotech high-performance
BM series brushless servomotor. Aerotech manufactures a wide range
of matching drives and controls to provide a fully integrated
and optimized motion solution.
Since the ATS6200 incorporates a standard NEMA 34 motor mount,
DC brush and microstepping motors are available as options.
