Performance Unique to the Market
Many trade-offs exist in the design and specification of a motion system. With its high speeds and sub-micrometer precision, HEX300-210HL greatly reduces compromises on application specifications. Aerotech’s HexGen hexapods are the only hexapods on the market that provide guaranteed positioning accuracy specifications below 5 µm.
Superior Structural Design
The HEX300-210HL is actuated with six high-accuracy struts built with precision bearings, ball screws and drive components. Unlike other hexapods driven by DC brushed servomotors, the HEX300-210HL is driven by Aerotech’s AC brushless, slotless servomotors that maximize device lifetime and performance. Directly coupling the AC brushless servomotors to the ball screw enables increased drive stiffness, higher positioning accuracy and the best possible minimum incremental motion when compared to inferior designs using belts, gearheads or compliant couplings. Specially engineered strut pivot-joints provide low friction and high stiffness enhancing the overall hexapod performance.
Easy to Integrate
HEX300-210HL offers effortless integration in even the most constricted operational environments. This second-generation hexapod is more compact and features a simplified, two-cable design, making it easier than ever to install. It mounts directly to standard breadboards and optical tables, or it can be customized with user-specific features or mounting patterns. HEX300-210HL features large, clear apertures in the platform and the base, allowing multi-directional workpiece access and providing room for routing of additional cables and hoses.
Powerful Controls and Software
HEX300-210HL pairs perfectly with our award-winning motion controllers, including Automation1-HXA4 and Automation1-iHXA4. Built on years of experience in complex kinematic applications, our controls allow simple programming and use of the hexapod in multiple user-defined coordinate systems -- all with an intuitive interface and available real-time motion visualization and simulation tools. Our controller architecture simplifies your system design by treating the hexapod like any other axis on the Automation1 network, enabling effortless coordination across complex motion systems. In addition to controlling the hexapod, our advanced controllers can effortlessly drive and coordinate a variety of motion axes from a unified platform, including servo stages, stepper motors, piezo nanopositioners, laser scan heads and more. Plus, our free HexGen™ sizing software makes it easy to simulate the hexapod’s available travel and workspace.
