Gantry System

Aerotech gantry systems use our own brushless linear servomotors to meet the needs of a variety of customers, from electronic assembly and electronic manufacturing to vision systems and industrial automation. These systems are available in models from low-cost modular linear actuators assembled in a gantry configuration with matching motion control and drives, to sophisticated gantry models with the largest travel, highest speed and highest acceleration available. Aerotech has over 40 years of experience in brushless linear motor design, motion controllers and drives that permit us to offer a complete gantry system solution that perfectly fits your application.

When you choose your Aerotech gantry system, consider including our ETM (Enhanced Throughput Module) as part of your system. The ETM helps improve the positioning performance of high-dynamic motion systems by directly measuring the unwanted motion of the machine base and communicating it back to the controller. By working in concert with the Dynamic Controls Toolbox and Aerotech controllers, the ETM significantly improves move-and-settle time and contouring performance, increases throughput of existing and new machines and greatly reduces the effects of frame motion on the servo system.
