The iHXA4 hexapod drive delivers better motion control to automation system developers, machine builders and OEMs.  Its efficient design is a perfect fit for contoured multi-axis motion control and point-to-point applications. The embedded iSMC motion controller can control up to 12 axes of motion, including onboard axes and those extended over the HyperWire motion bus.  Contoured applications such as making precision optical and photonic alignments, advanced packaging, and sample manipulation in synchrotron and beamline applications, are all possible with the iHXA4.

Move beyond single-device control and embrace a truly unified automation ecosystem. Because the iHXA4 is a native component of the Automation1 platform, you can seamlessly program and deploy motion for your hexapod alongside other linear and rotary servo stages, galvo scanners, additional hexapods and more, all within a single development environment. This integrated approach simplifies the control of complex machines and unlocks advanced, system-level capabilities that are more challenging to achieve with disparate control systems.

Simple to Integrate

The powerful Automation1-iSMC motion controller brings serious application integration power to the iHXA4. Use the powerful Automation1 APIs (provided with the Automation1-MDK motion development kit) to integrate the controller into your own custom application or avoid coding and quickly develop your own custom user interface with the Automation1 MachineApps HMI Builder for Windows PCs.  The Automation1 controller supports RS-274 G-code natively and allows extra large programs (including points files) to be streamed to the controller using the APIs. Whether you have a simple sub-millisecond process or something that goes on for days, the iHXA4 and Automation1 can meet your application needs.
