- High-Resolution Monochrome Imaging of 2D & 3D laser scanners' field of view (FOV)
- Choose from 150 mm or 300 mm focal length lenses to enable imaging of features as small as 5 µm
- Supports CW to Ultrafast pulsed YB:YAG(1064nm) and ND:YAG (1030nm) lasers and their harmonics
- Enclosure is resistant to ingress of particles and process debris
- Adjustable (0/90/180/270°) input aperture/camera positioning
Key Applications
AGV-CA is ideal for laser scan head imaging applications, including:
- Part identification & alignment
- Automated scanner calibration
- Laser process quality monitoring
- Machine vision applications
Flexible & Configurable
The AGV-CA offers either 100% reflective (-LR) or transmissive options (-LT1/2) for the laser input configuration; these configurations change the position of the laser input aperture and lens to best suit any laser power and machine integration application requirements. Additionally, the AGV-CA enables users the flexibility to orient the lens body or input aperture (configuration dependent) between 0-90-180-270° orientations to best fit into any free-space or fiber-delivered beam line. Both reflective and transmissive input beams feature an SM1-threaded input for adapting lens tubes used to create sealed beamlines and other optical components. Finally, user interchangeable galvo laser scan head mounting flanges enable compatibility with 10, 14, & 20 mm AGV 2-axis laser scan heads (CPO/HPO/XPO) as well as all AGV3D models in both right and left side beam entry configurations.

High Performance, Durable Optics For Industrial Ultrafast Lasers
The AGV-CA features dichroic beam splitters and transmissive protective windows that support CW to Ultrafast pulsed YB:YAG(1064nm) and ND:YAG (1030nm) lasers and their harmonics in visible and UV wavelengths**. All configurations have premium optical coatings with Laser-Induced Damage Threshold (LIDT) performance*** able to support modern pulsed lasers with average powers exceeding 100W and pulse durations down to 200 fs. The AGV-CA enclosure is designed to enable positive pressurization to prevent dust ingress and offers some passive cooling of the camera adapter optics when paired with an AGV that has air cooling (-AC option) installed.
** -LR reflective laser configuration reflects IR (1025-1085nm), Visible (510-540nm), and UV (335-360nm) laser wavelengths; -LT1 transmissive laser configuration transmits only UV (335-360nm); -LT2 transmissive laser configuration transmits both IR (1025-1085nm) and Visible (510-540nm) wavelengths.
***LIDT performance data for supported wavelengths available upon request.
Superior Imaging Performance
The AGV-CA enables high-resolution monochrome imaging using 620-650 nm red light, supporting C-mount cameras with sensor formats up to 2/3 and pixel sizes down to 1.6 µm****. It can be configured with either 150 mm or 300 mm focal-length lenses, which focus at infinity. The optics leverage the laser scan head’s F-theta objective to create a sharp, high-contrast digital image for various applications, from finding and aligning to part features to dimensional process quality measurements. When configured with the highest-resolution 300 mm focal-length lens, the AGV-CA is capable of resolving down to 5 µm features. These capabilities enable AGV-CA to resolve the smallest details and perform the most demanding industrial machine vision applications without the need for auxiliary imaging systems.
**** This reflects a validated camera configuration; users must select a camera for their application. Pixel size and sensor format will impact the final image resolution performance.
